As a Regulatory Credit Risk Officer, you are the bank’s central expert on regulatory credit risk. You ensure that Bigbank’s credit risk framework fully complies with regulatory requirements and is applied consistently across the organisation. You turn regulatory expectations into clear rules, processes and practical solutions.
Interpret and own the implementation of regulatory credit risk requirements, including definition of default, non‑performing and forborne exposures, loan origination and monitoring, collateral eligibility and valuation, and regulatory SICR within the IFRS 9 framework, ensuring their practical application in line with the bank’s risk appetite
Ensure consistent implementation of regulatory requirements in procedures, internal rules, methodologies and operational processes
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the bank’s credit risk framework, initiating necessary updates
Ensure correct identification, classification, and treatment of credit risk, including proper loan staging and alignment with default, non‑performing and forborne statuses
Advise stakeholders and support audits, supervisory processes and regulatory controls
Develop and deliver trainings, contributing to strong organisational understanding and consistent application of regulatory credit risk principles
At least 5 years of experience in credit risk, regulatory risk or IFRS 9 within banking or the financial sector
Strong understanding of market practices and hands‑on experience with regulatory credit risk frameworks, including loan classification, credit deterioration concepts, and the treatment of non‑performing and forborne exposures.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and business strategy
Accuracy and a systematic approach
Good command of English and Estonian, both spoken and written
